Catching Up

Happy New Year...Ok we haven't posted since Easter 2010. So what...Nothing exciting happened-Nick's soccer team won some games, girls turned 3, Tom broke his leg, Santa was good to mom-nothing exciting...here's a quick overview and some pics.
Girls still love taking baths.

Family trip to Six Flags-Chicago. Caitlyn didn't like all the rides. Melinda did.

Mom and the kids on the Wiggles car.
Mom and Nick squirting us on the pirate ride.
Yikes. Thank God for the bumpers!

Having fun!

Over the summer visited the Field Museum in Chicago. The big
draw there is the most complete T-Rex named Sue. Kids had a blast.
At Nick's soccer game this summer. Nick did a great job.
He was excited his team won a few games this season!
So Tom was working a concert and fell on a wet metal ramp at work. His foot
was pointed 3 o'clock when he landed. He broke his fibula and dislocated his
ankle. He had surgery and two months in a cast and is still recovering. He is
done with therapy and takes it one day at a time.

The girls turned 3 in September. They were excited with
a visit by Grandma and Grandpa Ray. We celebrated at
the pool at there hotel.

Here are the Geringer pumpkins this year.
As usual, we had one of the grossest. The girls
dressed up as skeletons and Nick as Harry Potter.

Since dad was laid up he sat with his foot on the beer cooler, took out the screen,
and passed out candy to the visitors...Pretty pathetic I know but it worked.
Merry Christmas Everyone!!!
Santa came to our house early again this year knowing we would be traveling to
St. Louis. The kids were all excited to wake up to all the gifts. The kids got
an indoor trampoline and have been having a blast jumping in it.

Santa's elves told Santa how good mom was this year taking care of the kids, going through a long summer with Tom's busy schedule and then taking care of things when Tom broke his leg. So Santa brought mom a trip to see the Lion King in Las Vegas...without the kids. We had an amazing time. We walked around most of the casinos on the strip and Fremont street. We had
some great meals and even took time to hit the spa. Mom seeing her flight info
We stayed at the Mandalay Bay which is where the Lion King was playing.
Below the fountains at the Bellagio.Tom and Aimee in front of a Christmas display at the Bellagio
Aimee and her drink at Top of the World restaurant at the Stratosphere.
We didn't realize it but we were almost twice as high up as the Arch in STL.Sierra Nevada mountains from the Stratosphere.
Happy Birthday Nick!!! Little buddy turned 9. If you look back you will
see that his favorite meal is colored eggs and bacon. (We can handle it
once a year). Anyway he was excited to get a new DS system.
We want the cake!

Happy Easter 2010

Happy Easter everyone! The Easter Bunny showed up with some great treats and hid a bunch of eggs. Nick and Caitlyn understood the concept of finding eggs real quick. Melinda eventually caught on. We went to church and then played outside.
Helping Mom dye eggs

This is Ms. Caitlyn on Easter morning...
Melinda was upset she wouldn't wake up.

Evidently the Easter Bunny has a sense of humor...Momma not so much

This was one of two fatalities.

On the hunt

It was such a great day and the kids dressed up...we couldn't resist.

Spring 2010!!!

Spring is finally here!! Good news is no more snow (hopefully). Bad news Tom's busy season is starting. Anyway we had a great day on Saturday. Started off going to the zoo and had a neighborhood easter egg hunt. Kids had a good time except when the Easter Bunny showed up. Enjoy! Some of the kids getting ready

Caitlyn and Melinda enjoyed looking for eggs!

Nick being Nick...having a blast!!!

Caitlyn after the Easter Bunny showed up...This put's the Disney trip back at least 10-15 years.

We started the day at the Brookfield Zoo. This picture is totally coincidence. Kind of funny how this kind of stuff always happens to Aimee...oh well. Nick really thought we we're going to miss lunch!
For you old folks...the signs say "Do Not Feed" and "I Bite"

Happy 35th Aimee!!

We celebrated Aimee's 35th this weekend with a visit from her mom and grandma. We had a good visit. As you can see, Nick insisted on 35 candles. Does anyone know how much smoke 35 candles emits?
The birthday girl with her cake of choice...Chocolate with strawberries. Yummy.
Has anyone seen Aimee? Someone call the fire dept.
On Saturday Nick's school had a fun fair. It was a fundraiser for the school with games for the kids and raffles. Nick was excited to win a lot of cool prizes and Melinda won cupcakes at the cake walk.

Hey GiGi those are OUR cupcakes!

Potty Trained!!!!

Finally, we've been working since Christmas. Caitlyn was doing better than Melinda so we bought some new dolls that they couldn't have until they did #2 for a few days. Caitlyn got her doll right away. Melinda took a little time and the help of some M&Ms but we got there.
Caitlyn and Melinda aka the little brats are doing well. As you can see their hair is long enough for 2 ponytails! They are chatting up a storm even having there own conversations. They are constantly tattling on each other. It's pretty funny.
Nick is still loving school. He is reading at the 5th grade level and doing great in math. We are finishing up indoor soccer. He likes it even though his team hasn't won any games yet.

Happy Birthday Nick!

It was 8 years ago yesterday that Aimee and Tom got there last peaceful night of sleep. We wouldn't have it any other way! We started out by going to the Rainforest Cafe with friends and then Nick got to pick his birthday dinner. He loved every colorful second of it! The Birthday BoyNick with his friends Julian, Jaydn and Aly. oh yea and Cha-Cha the frog!
Getting ready for the volcano desert with Caitlyn looking on.

Opening gifts

So Nick's favorite meal is pancakes and eggs. Of course we can't do plain pancakes so we add some color to them. However Nick thought it would be fun to have colored eggs also. You've never truly lived until you have eaten blue eggs!!!

Cooking dinner Whatever floats your boat I guess.Yellow and Rainbow stacked cake...yummy!!!

mmmm...mmmmm.mmmm
Caitlyn wasn't sure about the blue eggs (not sure what's wrong with her)
but she loved the cake.
Melinda liked both eggs and cake.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone! We had a great visit to St. Louis until the last couple of days when everyone was sickly. Anyway due to some technical issues (technically Aimee didn't take any pictures), pics will be posted when we get them.

Also Aimee has been hard at work pottytraining the girls. Caitlyn is doing very good, Melinda is ok but not catching on as quick.
The girls have graduated to big girl beds. Santa brought Dora bedding.
They do well at night staying in them. Nap time is another story.
